Privacy Policy for Duman Pizza & Grill
This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our online ordering website, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.
We are Duman Pizza & Grill, 2 Station Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 4HZ. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your personal data, you can contact us at info@dumanpizzagrill.co.uk or call 01293 850523.
What personal data we collect
When you place an order, we may collect:
* Your name, email address and phone number.
* Your order details.
* Your delivery address, if you choose delivery.
* Your account login details, if you choose to create an account. You can also order as a guest without creating an account.
Payment details are handled securely by our payment provider, Square. We do not see or store your full card number.
Why we collect your data
We use your personal data to:
* Take and process your order.
* Prepare your food and arrange collection or delivery.
* Send order confirmations and updates by email.
* Contact you if there is a problem with your order.
* Keep records that we are legally required to keep, such as tax and accounting records.
Our lawful basis for using your data is usually that it is necessary to fulfil your order with us. For some records, such as tax and accounting information, we process your data because we have a legal obligation to keep those records.
We do not sell your personal data. We only send marketing emails or text messages to customers who have asked to receive them, and you can stop them at any time — every marketing text tells you how to opt out.
Who we share your data with
Our online ordering system is provided by MenuDock, which processes order data on our behalf.
If you accept analytics cookies, MenuDock also uses Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use this website, so that it can improve its ordering platform. For this analytics, MenuDock decides how the information is used, under its own privacy policy at https://menudock.co.uk/privacy. See "Cookies" below.
Payments are processed by Square.
We do not share your personal data with anyone else unless it is necessary to fulfil your order, provide our service, or comply with the law.
How long we keep your data
We keep order records for as long as we are legally required to keep them. For UK tax and accounting purposes, this is usually at least six years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have rights over your personal data. You can ask us to:
* Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
* Correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete.
* Delete your personal data, where the law allows.
* Restrict or object to how we use your personal data, in certain circumstances.
To make a request, please email info@dumanpizzagrill.co.uk. We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Our ordering website uses cookies that are needed to run the basket, login and checkout features. These cookies are necessary for the website to work, so they do not need your consent.
With your permission, we also use analytics cookies. When you first visit, a notice asks whether you accept them. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is recorded. You can change your mind at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
If you accept, MenuDock, the company that provides our ordering website, uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site and make ordering easier. Clarity records how you move through the pages, such as clicks, scrolling and the pages you visit, as session recordings and heatmaps. Text you type into forms, such as your name, phone number, email address and delivery address, is hidden before the recording leaves your browser. Card details are never entered on our pages, and your name, email address or account are never sent to Clarity. Our lawful basis for analytics cookies is your consent.
Microsoft Clarity uses these cookies:
* _clck: keeps an anonymous visitor ID across visits (1 year).
* _clsk: joins the pages of one visit into a single recording (1 day).
* CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, SM and MR: set by Microsoft on its own domains (clarity.ms and bing.com), lasting from the length of your visit up to 1 year.
Microsoft processes this information under the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement) and may store it outside the UK, including in the United States. Session recordings are normally kept for 30 days (up to 9 months if saved for review), and heatmap data for up to 9 months.
We do not use cookies for advertising.
